ASSAULTS: WHAT THE LAW SAYS

We are seeing a rising number of assaults on cabbies by Moped and Street gangs. We have consulted our legal team and the advice is the following:

Should you find yourself in this situation the law says you may use such force as is reasonable in the circumstances.
It is both good law and good sense that a man who is attacked may defend himself. It is both good law and good sense that he may do, but only do, what is reasonably necessary.

2 Questions:

Did you honestly believe the use of force was necessary in the circumstances?
Did you honestly believe the force used was reasonable in the circumstances?

UCG and Chiltern Law are happy to advise on self defence and will defend such reasonable actions should you be charged.
